Meet Anna

Anna Boles, a Digital Media and Integrated Marketing Communications major from Keystone College, has joined DiscoverNEPA for an internship.

Anna heard about DiscoverNEPA by following their social media accounts. She reached out to the DiscoverNEPA team and expressed her interest in an internship.

We asked Anna what she is looking forward to the most this summer. “I’m looking forward to challenging myself creatively, learning all that I can, and photographing amazing places in Northeastern Pennsylvania. I love being a part of the DiscoverNEPA team and learning from the best.”

In her free time, Anna enjoys spending time outdoors, creating art, traveling, and hanging out with her friends. Upon graduating in December, Anna hopes to continue her role at DiscoverNEPA or work in a very similar environment.

Meet Richie

Richie de Luna, a Physics major at the College of William and Mary, has joined Mericle’s Development team for a summer internship. At William and Mary, Richie is a member of Sigma Pi fraternity and the club lacrosse team.

Richie heard about Mericle from his neighbor, Jake Latcham, who is also a member of the Development team at Mericle.

We asked Richie what he hopes to learn from his time at Mericle. “Spending the summer as part of the Development team will give me the opportunity to learn more about construction engineering. I admire what Mericle does in Northeastern Pennsylvania, and I am excited to help wherever I can.”

In his free time, Richie enjoys lifting, playing lacrosse, playing chess, and hanging out with friends. After graduating, he hopes to pursue an advanced degree in engineering.

Meet Clare

Clare Griffin, a student at Yale University, is joining DiscoverNEPA for a summer internship. At Yale, Clare will major in Ethics, Politics, and Economics.

With DiscoverNEPA, Clare will be writing listings for local attractions and joining the creative team on trips to local sites.

We asked Clare what she was looking forward to the most during her internship. “DiscoverNEPA is a great resource to learn about all that our area has to offer. I’m looking forward to meeting new people, trying new things, and hopefully writing my own articles.”

Clare learned about DiscoverNEPA from her sister, Cate, who also completed an internship with DiscoverNEPA.

In her free time, Clare enjoys hanging out with friends, going on adventures, being outdoors, and hiking. She is looking forward to her trip to the beach this summer.

Meet Tyler

Tyler Hoedl, a Business Management major at Wilkes University, has joined the brokerage team at Mericle for a summer internship.

Upon graduating from Wilkes University in December 2025, Tyler hopes to obtain his real estate license and join the Mericle team in a full-time position.

When asked what he was hoping to learn from the brokerage team at Mericle, Tyler said, “I am excited to gain real world experience working with the brokerage department and to expand my knowledge of commercial real estate. I am enjoying my experience at Mericle and am grateful for the opportunity to join the team this summer.”

Tyler was born and raised in NEPA and has a deep appreciation for the area. In his free time, he enjoys golfing, snowboarding, going out with friends, and traveling, especially to New York City.

Meet Allyson

Allyson Hourigan, a Construction Management major at Marywood University, has joined Mericle for an internship. At Marywood, Allyson is a member of the golf team and is the university’s construction management representative.

Allyson will be shadowing multiple departments at Mericle this summer, including design, construction, tenant services, and civil engineering. She hopes to one day become a field engineer or superintendent using the skills she learns at Mericle.

We asked Allyson what she was looking forward to the most during her internship. “I’m excited to learn from the best people in my field. There is so much more to learn from the professionals at Mericle that can’t be taught in the classroom.”

Allyson heard about Mericle through family, especially her brother, Brady, who is also completing an internship at Mericle this summer.

In her free time, Allyson enjoys playing sports, listening to music, and spending time outdoors in Northeastern Pennsylvania.

Meet Brady

Brady Hourigan, a student at the University of Alabama, has joined Mericle’s leasing team as a summer intern. At Alabama, Brady majors in Finance and Economics.

After graduating from the University of Alabama in May of 2026, Brady hopes to become a commercial real estate broker.

This summer, Brady will be assisting Vice President of Leasing Bob Besecker by joining site tours, preparing packages for potential clients, and learning how to write proposals. He is looking forward to meeting with brokers, gaining experience out of the office, and learning more about commercial real estate.

When asked what he was hoping to gain from a new position at Mericle, Brady said, “I’m looking forward to exploring different responsibilities at Mericle. This internship has given me the opportunity to experience the day-to-day operations of a commercial real estate company.”

Brady heard about Mericle through friends and family, and is grateful for an opportunity to spend a summer in Northeastern Pennsylvania.

In his free time, Brady enjoys going to concerts, hanging out with friends, and traveling, especially to Los Angeles.

Meet Kyle

Kyle Kintz, a Computer Infrastructure & Network Engineering Technology major at Purdue University, has joined Mericle’s I.T. Department for an internship this summer.

Upon graduating from Purdue University in December of 2025, Kyle hopes to pursue a career as a Systems Administrator.

Kyle learned of Mericle from his mother, Cheryl Kintz, who works in the company’s Accounting Department.

We asked Kyle what he was looking forward to the most this year at Mericle. “Mericle has provided me with the opportunity to test new systems in a professional setting. I am able to apply the skills I have learned at Purdue through this internship.”

A lifelong resident of NEPA, Kyle is appreciative of the area’s beautiful forestry and mountains. In his free time, Kyle enjoys water sports, longboarding, and practicing with his band, Indigo Bay.

Meet Victoria

Victoria Mainero, an MBA student at Marywood University, is completing an internship with DiscoverNEPA this summer. She has previously obtained an undergraduate degree in Biology from Keystone College, where she played field hockey.

After completing her MBA in December of 2025, Victoria hopes to combine her love of science with her business knowledge to work in the pharmaceutical industry. Originally from Argentina, she hopes to return there after graduation.

When asked why she chose to join the DiscoverNEPA team, Victoria said, “Everyone at Mericle and DiscoverNEPA is so friendly. I enjoy learning about all that Northeastern Pennsylvania has to offer, expanding my business knowledge, and working with a great team.”

Victoria heard about Mericle by following DiscoverNEPA on social media and through discussions with her field hockey coach. She enjoys the outdoor activities, great food, and friendly people that can be found in Northeastern Pennsylvania.

In her free time, Victoria enjoys spending time with her friends, enjoying NEPA’s restaurants, and running.

Meet Ciara

Ciara Marinageli, a Structural Design and Construction Engineering Technology major at Penn State Harrisburg, has joined Mericle’s Construction team for a summer internship.

This summer, Ciara will be joining on site visits, reviewing blueprints, and experiencing the construction process in a commercial setting. After graduating from Penn State Harrisburg, Ciara hopes to pursue a career in structural design and work in an environment similar to the one at Mericle.

We asked Ciara what she was looking forward to the most during her internship. “I’m excited to see blueprints come to life. At Mericle, you get to experience the whole process of construction from start to finish.”

Ciara was born and raised in NEPA and is excited to spend the summer doing something she loves at a company she is familiar with.

In her free time, Ciara enjoys baking, coloring, drawing, building Lego sets, and playing soccer.

Meet Evan

Evan Melberger, a Business Management major at Wilkes University, has joined the Project Management and Asset Management teams at Mericle for his summer internship. Evan is a member of the baseball team at Wilkes.

After graduating in May of 2026, he hopes to pursue a career in finance, real estate development, or property management. This is Evan’s first time working in an office, and he is excited to gain professional experience at Mericle.

When asked what he is hoping to gain from this experience, Evan responded: “I am grateful for the opportunity to work with both the Project Management and Asset Management teams. This opportunity allows me to experience two different perspectives of a commercial real estate company.”

Evan was born and raised in NEPA and loves the strong community the area builds. In his free time, he enjoys golfing and hanging out with his friends.

Meet Antonia

Antonia-Minichello, Mericle summer internAntonia Minichello, a Business Management major at Old Dominion University, has joined Mericle’s brokerage team for a summer internship. At Old Dominion, Antonia is a member of the field hockey team and runs the team’s social media pages.

Upon graduating from Old Dominion University, Antonia hopes to move south and explore different career opportunities.

We asked Antonia what she was looking forward to the most during her internship. “I’m grateful for the opportunity to gain real-world experience with a great local company. This internship has given me the chance to explore different career paths and expand upon what I’ve learned in college.”

In her free time, Antonia enjoys cooking, hanging out with her friends, and coaching field hockey.

Meet AJ

AJ Nemitz, a Broadcast Journalism major at Penn State University, has joined DiscoverNEPA for an internship this summer.

At Penn State, AJ is involved with The Lion radio station, PSNTV, and serves as a production assistant for Penn State athletics. He was present in the press box during last year’s Penn State vs. Ohio State game.

We asked AJ what he is looking forward to the most during his internship. Getting hands on experience with an amazing team is what I’m most excited for. DiscoverNEPA is a great resource for anyone in the area, and I’m excited to go on shoots and promote Northeastern Pennsylvania.”

In his free time, AJ enjoys playing basketball and golf, going to the gym, and hanging out with his friends. After graduating, he hopes to pursue a career in sports broadcasting.

Meet Sarah

Sarah Newman, a Graphic Design and Marketing student at American University, has joined Mericle’s Development team for a summer internship. At American University, Sarah is involved in several creative projects, including the school magazine.

After graduating in May, Sarah hopes to travel and start a career in the graphic design field. At Mericle, she is assisting the development team on projects related to nonprofit organizations.

We asked Sarah what she is enjoying most about her internship so far. “I’m enjoying my experience at Mericle because it’s a community driven organization. I care a lot about Northeastern Pennsylvania and want to do my part to make it a better place.”

In her free time, Sarah enjoys reading, creating art, traveling, and watching historical fiction movies.

Meet Joe

Joseph Pettinato, a student at the Law School of Widener University, is completing a summer internship in the legal department at Mericle Commercial Real Estate Services.

Joe earned an undergraduate degree in finance from Saint Joseph’s University. He had always had an interest in attending law school, and upon graduating from Saint Joseph’s, Joe began to pursue a law degree. He will graduate from Widener Law next May.

Joe previously interned with Mericle’s legal department last summer and is excited for the opportunity to return to the company.

We asked Joe what he was looking forward to the most this year at Mericle. “I’m looking forward to learning from an amazing legal team. Working in-house on corporate law will help me to gain experience in a field I am passionate about.”

In his free time, Joe enjoys golfing, working out, and hanging out with his friends. He hopes to stay near Philadelphia or Delaware to pursue a career in corporate law.

Meet Michael

Michael Prebola, an Architecture major at Marywood University, has joined Mericle’s Architectural Design team for a summer internship. Michael will graduate from Marywood in May of 2026.

This summer, Michael will be assisting the architectural team by editing drafts, updating models, and going on site visits. When asked what he is most excited to learn this summer, Michael said: “I really enjoy the creative process of design. I’m looking forward to working with the team and seeing all the different pieces that bring a project together.”

Michael was born and raised in Northeastern Pennsylvania and heard about Mericle through the company’s strong local presence.

In his free time, Michael enjoys playing soccer and hiking. He hopes to travel around Europe after graduating next spring.

Meet Paul

Paul Stevenson, a Psychology and Management major at Notre Dame University, has joined DiscoverNEPA for a summer internship. At Notre Dame, Paul is involved in mock trial, yearbook, and student ministry. He is also the Director of Student Life on the Student Government Board.

Paul is very involved in nonprofit organizations across NEPA, especially in the City of Pittston. He also runs his own nonprofit called NEPA Summer in the City, which encourages high school students to get involved in volunteering throughout NEPA.

We asked Paul what he was looking forward to the most during his internship. “This area has so much more to offer than meets the eye. I’m excited for the opportunity to show others the beauty of NEPA and promote the area I love.”

In his free time, Paul enjoys volunteering, reading, running, and hanging out with his friends. After graduating from Notre Dame, he hopes to pursue a career in consulting or a graduate degree in clinical psychology.
