Mericle’s flex building at 425 Keystone Avenue in CenterPoint Commerce & Trade Park East recently played host to Isuzu North America’s 2nd Annual Technical Competition. The top 12 Isuzu technicians from North America competed to be the three technicians that qualify to compete in the world competition in Japan.

Top Isuzu officials from Japan and North America were on hand to watch and judge the competition.

Staff from DiscoverNEPA, a Mericle marketing arm that has created a Northeastern Pennsylvania regional quality of life initiative, filmed the event and created a short video that can be viewed below:

Isuzu Commercial Truck of America, Inc., the distributor of America’s best-selling low cab forward trucks, opened a training and parts distribution center early in the summer of 2016 in CenterPoint East.

Isuzu occupies the entire 134,442-square-foot building, which was developed on speculation by Mericle.  The project marked the first time Isuzu combined a training center, named “Isuzu Truck University,” and a modern parts distribution center under one roof.

Inside, about 97,000 square feet is used for parts distribution and 30,000 square feet is used for technical training. The remainder is used as office space.
