Joe Cummings has enjoyed a successful career in commercial real estate sales since 1998, when he first joined Mericle as a Sales Associate. He most recently worked for Mark Realty Co. in Scranton, where he proved instrumental in developing numerous commercial and industrial real estate projects in Northeast Pennsylvania.

Now back with Mericle, Joe is looking forward to strengthening his community ties and contacts all over Northeast PA. His knowledge of the entire region is well known. For many years he served as Community Relations Director for the Scranton-Times Tribune and, prior to that, served as Bureau Chief for the Scranton Times North Pocono Region. Joe has worked for decades to develop positive working relationships with numerous organizations throughout Northeast PA.

Joe is President of the North Pocono School District Board of Education and is on the Board of Directors for Northeastern Educational Intermediate Unit 19. He is also a member of the PA School Board Association. In addition, Joe is an active member of the Steamtown Marathon Race Committee and in 2007 was named Honorary Co-Chair of the marathon. He is a Volunteer Coordinator for the Nationwide PGA Golf Tournament and Race for the Cure, and regularly volunteers at St. Peter’s Cathedral Church in Scranton, and at St. Eulalia’s Church annual
summer picnic.
