(August 28, 2007 - Wilkes-Barre, PA) - Mericle Commercial Real Estate Services is pleased to announce that another major tenant will soon begin operations in CenterPoint Commerce & Trade Park, bringing the total number of tenants to seven since the park’s opening in late 2006. Scranton-based Kane Is Able, a regional third-party logistics provider, will open a new distribution center in CenterPoint early next year, bringing about 100 jobs to the park, according to Kane Chief Operations Officer Harry Drajpuch. Though Kane will not name the company whose products will be distributed from CenterPoint, the new 744,000 SF facility will enable their client to consolidate and grow their distribution capabilities. The new facility actually started as a 496,000 square foot spec building by Mericle, but was modified during the construction phase to accommodate the Kane project. “CenterPoint is a smashing success,” said Mericle Vice President of Marketing Jim Cummings. We broke ground in the fall of 2005 and by the end of 2007 we will have 10 buildings in the park totaling 3.6 million square feet and housing more than 1,500 workers.” Mericle has under construction tat CenterPoint three spec buildings totaling more than 500,000 square feet, all of which will be ready for occupancy by December 31. Park tenants include Lowe’s, Men’s Wearhouse, FedEx Ground and Entenmann’s. |
