A New Tenant for Mericle Headquarters PDF Print E-mail

(November 20, 2007) C3i Inc., a leading customer service company specializing in the life sciences industry, is moving part of its operations from Morristown, NJ, to a 25,000 SF office in Mericle’s Headquarters in the Corporate Center at the East Mountain in Plains. The move will create 229 jobs when C3i, a provider of customer relationship management services to pharmaceutical companies, relocates its domestic call center operations.

“C3i looked all over the country, but selected the Northeast Pennsylvania area because of the quality of labor and overall business climate,” said Joel Morse, CEO and C3i co-founder. The company, which is also purchasing new equipment and making leasehold improvements, expects to begin operations this month and be fully operational by April. Lew Sebia, Mericle’s Chief Operating Officer, welcomed C3i on behalf of all Mericle employees, and commented that “C3i will play a key role in helping the Greater Wilkes-Barre area retain its best and brightest talent.”

Global Medical Technology Leader Locating in CenterPoint PDF Print E-mail

(August 30, 2007) Mericle Commercial Real Estate Services announced today that KCI USA, a global leader in medical technology, will be locating a sales and distribution center in CenterPoint Commerce & Trade Park.

KCI is leasing 24,000 SF at 100-144 CenterPoint Boulevard, the first multi-tenant flex facility built on speculation in the park.

Mericle Lands Another Tenant for CenterPoint PDF Print E-mail

(August 28, 2007 - Wilkes-Barre, PA) - Mericle Commercial Real Estate Services is pleased to announce that another major tenant will soon begin operations in CenterPoint Commerce & Trade Park, bringing the total number of tenants to seven since the park’s opening in late 2006.

Scranton-based Kane Is Able, a regional third-party logistics provider, will open a new distribution center in CenterPoint early next year, bringing about 100 jobs to the park, according to Kane Chief Operations Officer Harry Drajpuch.

Mericle Assists in Local Company’s Rebound PDF Print E-mail

(July 6, 2007 - Scranton, PA) Mericle Agent Jillian Wiese played an instrumental role in helping Scranton-based transportation company  Knitney Lines, Inc. continue its rebound from a devastating fire last year.

Wiese helped Knitney coordinate the purchase of the vacant Global Metalform building on Davis Street for $2.1 million. Knitney recently acquired the assets of Lake Ariel-based R.E. Wittenbrader Inc. and plans to expand its business using the former Wittenbrader employees and adding 20 new workers. This will result in about 50 employees working at the new Scranton site, said Knitney Lines owner Herlow Rowlands Sr.

Entenmann’s to Open Major Distribution Center Near Pittston PDF Print E-mail
(July 1, 2007 - Jenkins Township, PA) - One of America’s largest baked goods companies will soon join the growing list of major national and international companies that have opened new facilities in the CenterPoint Commerce and Trade Park East near Pittston.Jen

Entenmann’s, part of the George Weston Limited family of companies, will soon occupy a 144,000 SF industrial facility now under construction in the park.  The building will serve as the company’s northeast U.S. distribution hub and will be leased from developer Mericle Commercial Real Estate Services.
