Spec Office Building Under Construction in East Mountain Corporate Center PDF Print E-mail

(April, 2008) Wilkes-Barre, PA-Mericle Commercial Real Estate Services has begun construction on a 41,344 square foot speculative office building in the East Mountain Corporate Center, Plains Township, Luzerne County.  The one-story building will be located on approximately five acres at 675 Baltimore Drive.

The new facility is expected to be ready for tenants by year’s end.

At a press conference held at Mericle’s headquarters building in the park, Chief Operating Officer Lew Sebia said the new building will be the first of several to be developed on speculation.  “As soon as we have success with the first building and it becomes 50% leased, we will begin work on the second building,” he said.  “We will repeat the process until we have fully developed all of the land we now own in East Mountain.” A master plan displayed at the press conference showed a complex of nine new buildings.

Mericle to Build Three More Spec Buildings in CenterPoint PDF Print E-mail

(April, 2008) Wilkes-Barre, PA — One of the fastest growing business parks in Pennsylvania will soon be home to three new buildings. 

Mericle Commercial Real Estate Services has announced the start of construction of three speculative flex buildings in CenterPoint Commerce and Trade Park East.  The buildings have been designed to accommodate manufacturing, warehousing and office tenants.

Mericle Announces Construction of Speculative Industrial Buildings in Luzerne County PDF Print E-mail

(January, 2008) Wilkes-Barre, PA — Mericle Commercial Real Estate Services, the largest private developer of industrial space along the I-81 Corridor, is starting the New Year by constructing three multi-million dollar speculative buildings in Luzerne County. 

The three projects are actively under construction. Steel is being erected for a 410,000 SF building located at 2 North Park Drive in Humboldt Industrial Park North, Hazle Township. The building has immediate access to the park’s active rail line and can be expanded to 606,800 SF. The facility has been designed to accommodate warehousing and manufacturing companies. “Our new building in Humboldt offers excellent access to Interstates 80 and 81 and is located in a Keystone Opportunity Zone, with virtually all state and local taxes abated through December 31, 2010,” said Mericle Vice President of Marketing Jim Cummings.

Mericle Hires Three New Agents PDF Print E-mail

(November 20, 2007 - Wilkes-Barre, PA)  Al Guari, Vice President of Brokerage for Mericle Commercial Real Estate Services, announced today that three new agents would be joining their team.

Christopher M. Draus, a recent licensee with experience in development of residential subdivisions and business operations, will be based out of the Williamsport office. Draus, an MBA graduate of Wake Forest University as well as University of Rhode Island’s College of Pharmacy, is the owner of  several businesses that include real estate development, managerial/sales training development, and retail agricultural business activities. He is married and lives with his wife, Shannon in Bloomsburg.

A New Tenant for Mericle Headquarters PDF Print E-mail

(November 20, 2007) C3i Inc., a leading customer service company specializing in the life sciences industry, is moving part of its operations from Morristown, NJ, to a 25,000 SF office in Mericle’s Headquarters in the Corporate Center at the East Mountain in Plains. The move will create 229 jobs when C3i, a provider of customer relationship management services to pharmaceutical companies, relocates its domestic call center operations.

“C3i looked all over the country, but selected the Northeast Pennsylvania area because of the quality of labor and overall business climate,” said Joel Morse, CEO and C3i co-founder. The company, which is also purchasing new equipment and making leasehold improvements, expects to begin operations this month and be fully operational by April. Lew Sebia, Mericle’s Chief Operating Officer, welcomed C3i on behalf of all Mericle employees, and commented that “C3i will play a key role in helping the Greater Wilkes-Barre area retain its best and brightest talent.”
