All of Mericle's available properties in Humboldt are located in Keystone Opportunity Zones (KOZs). When a building is located in a KOZ, it translates into very substantial tax-savings. Eligible companies that locate in such buildings have practically all of their state and local taxes completely abated through the end date of the zone. In Humboldt, Mericle's buildings at 2 North Park Drive and 61 Green Mountain Road, as well as the build-to-suit site at 560 Oak Ridge Road, provide tax abatements through 2017, while its build-to-suit site at 660 Oak Ridge Road provides benefits through 2019.
