As Vice President of Brokerage, Al Guari oversees all activities of
Mericle's Brokerage Division, including 19 licensed real estate agents
and offices in Northeast and Central Pennsylvania.
Al's previous experience includes his work as a Commercial Banking
Officer / Vice President, where he structured business loans and
contributed to the growth of commercial loan portfolios, while
establishing and procuring deposit and credit relationships with local
businesses.
With an M.B.A. in Finance from the University of Scranton, Al also
worked as Manager and Business Consultant for the University's Small
Business Development Center. He continues to teach part-time as a Real
Estate Instructor for the University of Scranton's Center for
Professional Training and Development.
Al was also employed with the Greater Scranton Chamber of Commerce
as a Small Business Development Specialist, where he worked on the
establishment of the MetroAction Microloan Program. It was through this
position that Al had the opportunity to hone his skills in economic
development through projects in the Scranton central business district.
In addition to his work experience, Al volunteers his time to the
Jessup Youth Sports Association and the Valley View Bulldogs. He twice
chaired the CityPride project for Scranton Tomorrow and continues to
remain active on committees at the Greater Scranton Chamber of
Commerce. Al resides in Jessup with his wife and two daughters.
