More than 100 people were on hand at Sky Zone Pittston in CenterPoint Commerce & Trade Park West to face off on the court for glow-in-the-dark dodgeball. The “Semper Fly” event was organized by Mericle Commercial Real Estate Services to support the U.S. Marine Corps Reserve’s annual Toys for Tots campaign.

The event included participation by 15 teams, comprised of members of the Marine Corps and employees of Mericle and its tenants.

For 20 years, Mericle has donated warehouse space to the Toys for Tots campaign. In 2013, Mericle heard the Marine Corps when it said it needed more toys to meet the growing demand for holiday gifts for disadvantaged families throughout Northeastern Pennsylvania. Mericle invited its tenants to help by collecting toys and other gifts at their places of business.

Since then, the Mericle + Marine Corps Toys for Tots Challenge has grown from participation by 16 tenants contributing 17 cartons of toys to 67 companies filling 124 cartons of toys.

As a Mericle tenant, Sky Zone hosted the event at its facility in CenterPoint West. Throughout the month of November, Sky Zone will also offer a $5 discount on a 60-minute Open Jump ticket to those customers who bring in a new, unwrapped toy, game, stocking stuffer, or book.
