As Vice President of Brokerage, Al Guari oversees all activities of Mericle’s Brokerage Division, including 10 licensed real estate agents and offices in Northeast and Central Pennsylvania.
Al has been with Mericle since 2006 and has completed numerous lease and sale transactions across the specialized areas of Industrial, Office, and Retail. As an active broker/manager, Al will provide you with exceptional value to assist with your real estate needs. Al prides himself on being a consultant to his clients and a professional that is knowledgeable about real estate and finance. Al has further knowledge of business valuation and can assist buyers and sellers with their business acquisitions or dispositions.
Al’s previous experience includes his work as a commercial banking officer/vice president, where he structured business loans and contributed to the growth of commercial loan portfolios, while establishing and procuring deposit and credit relationships with local businesses.
Al has an M.B.A. in Finance from the University of Scranton and has worked as Manager and Business Consultant for the University’s Small Business Development Center.
Al was also employed by the Greater Scranton Chamber of Commerce as a Small Business Development Specialist and worked on the establishment of the MetroAction Microloan Program. It was through this position that Al honed his economic development skills through projects in Scranton’s central business district.
Al resides in Archbald with his wife and two daughters.
Steve is responsible for identifying new business opportunities for the company, as well as for listing and selling commercial and industrial real estate.
Steve is the past President/CEO of the Greater Wilkes-Barre Chamber of Business and Industry and previously served as Executive Director of the Allegheny County Industrial Development, Hospital Development, and Higher Education Building Authorities. He also served as Deputy Director of the Allegheny County Department of Development.
Throughout his career, he has assisted hundreds of businesses in Northeastern and Southwestern Pennsylvania. His efforts have included marketing, property disposition and acquisitions, public-private development, and finance. He has received numerous professional and leadership awards over his career.
In his previous positions, Steve developed adoptive re-use projects like converting steel mills to multiple-tenant mixed uses and department stores into mixed use office and retail. He led the development efforts to turn more than 5,000 acres into suburban industrial parks. Steve also chaired the Luzerne County Convention Center Authority that built an 8,600 seat arena and secured the American Hockey League franchise of the Pittsburgh Penguins. He also developed an “urban life style center” involving a fourteen screen theater, loft condominium apartments and commercial space in downtown Wilkes-Barre.
Steve received his Bachelor’s and Master’s Degrees from the University of Pittsburgh. He has served as Chairman of the Board of the Northeastern Pennsylvania Alliance and Vice Chairman of the Children’s Service Center Board. He also serves on the boards of Penn State Wilkes-Barre, Catholic Social Services, and Leadership Wilkes-Barre. He is the past Chairman of the Pennsylvania Economic Development Association.
Steve and his wife Ellen reside in Wilkes-Barre. They raised three sons and are the proud grandparents of eight grandchildren.
Joe has enjoyed a successful career in commercial real estate sales since 1998, when he first joined Mericle as a Sales Associate. He has also worked for Mark Realty Co., in Scranton, where he proved instrumental in developing numerous commercial and industrial real estate projects in Northeast Pennsylvania.At Mericle, Joe has strengthened his community ties and contacts all over Northeast PA. His knowledge of the entire region is well known. For many years he served as Community Relations Director for the Scranton-Times Tribune, and, prior to that, served as Bureau Chief for the Scranton Times North Pocono Region. Joe has worked for decades to develop positive working relationships with numerous organizations throughout Northeast PA.
Joe is past president of the North Pocono School District Board of Education and has served on the Board of Directors for Northeastern Educational Intermediate Unit 19. He has also been a member of the PA School Board Association. In addition, Joe is an active member of the Steamtown Marathon Race Committee and in 2007 was named Honorary Co-Chair of the marathon. He has served as Volunteer Coordinator for the Nationwide PGA Golf Tournament and Race for the Cure, and regularly volunteers at St. Peter’s Cathedral Church in Scranton, and at St. Eulalia’s Church annual summer picnic.
Dave joined Mericle in 1998. He specializes in commercial/industrial sales and leasing in Northeastern Pennsylvania. His experiences range from property disposition representation to buyer/tenant representation for acquisition and relocation. During his first 19 years in commercial real estate, Dave has leased or sold more than 4 million square feet of commercial space in the market with an aggregate value in excess of $40 million.He has provided real estate services for Ambulatory Care Solutions LLC, American Steel Co., Anchor Health Properties, Andritz Corp., Boyer’s Food Markets, Diamond Manufacturing Co., Eye Care Specialists, Federal Hearings & Appeal Services, First National Bank of PA, Gnaden Huetten Hospitals, Guard Insurance, Hollywood Realty Corp., HPG International, Lagana Development & Real Estate, Orloski’s Quik Marts & Service Stations, Pantry Quik, Primerica Financial Services, RCH Capital, R.L. Dave began his real estate career in 1996 in the Northeastern Pennsylvania market with the Mertz Corporation, a commercial brokerage firm with offices in New Jersey, Philadelphia, and Wilkes-Barre, PA.
A resident of Dallas, Pennsylvania since 1979, Dave brings strong community and business ties to MCREG from 18 years in commercial real estate sales, 18 years in general management for a local publishing company, as well as prior general management experience in publishing and the hospitality industry in the Southeastern region of the country.
Educated in Florida with a concentration in Management, Dave’s local business ties include membership in the Tri-State Commercial & Industrial Board of Realtors. He also serves on the Board of Directors for the Pocono Northeast Triathlon Association, where he has served for 30 years, and on the Executive Council of the Northeastern Pennsylvania Council of the Boy Scouts of America.
Ron is a graduate of Wilkes University with a B.A. Degree in Psychology and a Minor in Economics with a concentration in Personnel Management, Industrial Testing and Time & Motion Studies, and a minor in Economics.
Since 1970, he has developed and successfully managed his own extensive real estate portfolio. Through the years, he has been very active in the construction of numerous subdivisions, and has worked closely with local municipalities and the Department of Environmental Protection. In addition, he displays an excellent working relationship with lending institutions and is well known within the regional banking community.
Ron has been a Sales Executive in the real estate industry since 1989 and is a proven top producer. He has been a frequent guest on television highlighted by a three part series on real estate investments. He continues his education with courses in Real Estate Law & Taxation, Finance, and Commercial Appraisal.
Since joining Mericle in 1997, Ron has been the recipient of numerous awards for sales and professionalism.

Julia joined MCREG in August of 2013 and has been a licensed realtor since 2005. She has more than 20 years of experience in the real estate industry with an emphasis in the management and leasing of retail space. Her expertise is in tenant recruitment and lease negotiation, and she is known for her networking and relationship building skills. She has a strong track record of matching the right tenant with the right property – whether that be an enclosed shopping mall, a strip center, or a small retail plaza.At Mericle, Julia focuses on local, regional, and national retailers interested in growing throughout Mericle’s 20 Pennsylvania counties.
Prior to joining Mericle, Julia worked for Acadia Realty Trust of White Plains, New York as a regional property manager and a leasing representative. Her wide variety of duties at Acadia included managing 15 retail shopping centers in Northeastern Pennsylvania and the Southern New Jersey – Mid Atlantic regions and coordinating tenant and landlord construction. She also negotiated numerous new leases and extensions and coordinated tenant expansions.
She is also a licensed notary, a member of TCN – an international network of real estate brokers – and the Tri-State Commercial and Industrial Association of Realtors. She is also affiliated with the International Council of Shopping Centers (ICSC).
Julia is a graduate of Lackawanna Junior College and has also completed courses at Penn State University and ICSC’s “University of Shopping Centers.”
She is a long-time volunteer for the Blue Chip Farms animal refuge in Dallas, PA and has been instrumental in elevating the Blue Chips profile to the general public, which has helped recruit volunteers and raise critical funding for suppliers and housing for the animals.
Dan joined Mericle in 2006. Previously, he worked for CB Richard Ellis as a member of the Central PA Retail Sales Team. He also worked for a regional retail development group providing feasibility analyses for prospective development projects. Dan has successfully represented numerous retailers with their expansion plans throughout northeast and central Pennsylvania. His thorough understanding of regional demographics and traffic patterns has made him a valuable resource.Throughout his career, Dan has been involved in the sale of more than $55 million of real estate. His ability to consistently bring deals to close has regularly made him the top performing sales agent in his office.
Dan earned his BA in Economics from Dickinson College and is pursuing his MBA in Finance at the University of Scranton.
Dan’s professional affiliations include: ICSC, the PA/NJ/DE CCIM Chapter, NAR/PAR/Tri-State Commercial and Industrial Association of Realtors, and TCN, an international network of real estate brokers. Dan is also an active member of the Greater Scranton Chamber of Commerce.
Dan served his country as an Infantry platoon leader in Afghanistan where his platoon participated in more than 350 combat missions.
John received his education at King’s College and St. Joseph’s University in Philadelphia with a concentration in Business Administration and Marketing. He brings with him more than 30 years of sales and marketing experience, having covered Eastern and Central Pennsylvania in the retail and food service industries.During his career with Mericle, John has coordinated real estate transactions for a wide variety of clients including Prudential Insurance, CB Richard Ellis, AmeriQuest Mortgage, The Staubach Group, CVS, Dollar General Corp., Federal Home Loan Bank, TicketMaster, The Deauville Group, T.C. Michael Adams is a graduate of Pennsylvania State University with a B.S. degree in Accounting. In 1999 he obtained designation as a Certified Commercial Investment Member (CCIM) form the Institute of Real Estate Management.
Prior to joining Mericle, Mike served as the Director of Real Estate for the Department of General Services. Through that position, he represented the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania in multiple large scale lease transactions. Adams also served as the vice president for a general contractor in central Pennsylvania. During his tenure, Mike appeared before various state, local and county boards to obtain permits and approvals for client land development projects.
In addition, Adams serves on the Next Century Board of Directors and is a junior high football coach for Selinsgrove Area School District.
Jeff has been in the real estate industry since 1978. Prior to joining Mericle, he was the broker/owner of Lester F. Bower Real Estate, Inc., a full-service real estate company.
In 1983, Jeff was named Realtor Associate of the Year by the West Branch Valley Association of Realtors. He has taught real estate courses at the Pennsylvania College of Technology. He served on the Lycoming County Planning Commission for 13 years. He has provided real estate services for Lycoming County, Meineke Mufflers, PNC Bank, Weis Markets, Geisinger, Wells Fargo Bank, Sovereign/Santander Bank, Chartwell Lodging, Precision Drilling, Your Building Centers, Morgan Stanley, Andarko Petroleum, and Chief Oil & Gas Company, as well as others.
Professional memberships include the Williamsport-Lycoming Chamber of Commerce, Clinton County Economic Partnership, and The West Branch Valley Association of Realtors. He has served as a Loan Executive for the Lycoming County United Way, the Lycoming County Community Gas Exploration Task Force, and on the Board of Directors of the Lycoming County Industrial Development Authority and the Industrial Properties Corporation.
Jeff is a high school and college football official.
Don was the Williamsport office’s top producer in 2006, 2007, and 2010 and complements the Mericle team in Central PA Brokerage. He brings a wealth of knowledge to the commercial real estate business. Prior to joining Mericle, Don held a real estate license in Massachusetts and was also affiliated with an environmental consulting firm working with commercial and industrial properties.
